It's quite fine with me if you are never rich, nor famous, nor influential, nor popular. You may free yourself from any obligation you feel to someday write the Great American Novel, or produce a hit song, or make waves in the art world, or start a cult that spreads like wildfire. It is utterly alright with me if you don't "do anything" with your life.
Well, if you insist i'm not going to stop you.
But if that project you've been kicking around causes you more guilt than joy, it's okay to ditch it. No, really, i have this on good authority.
