Just shut the fuck up. Please. Shut the fuck up and go away.

The best you have these days is to sound like Beavis and Butthead, "Heh heh, heh heh, he said 'toaster,' heh heh, heh heh." Well, guess what. Disturbingly large segments of the American population actually do not have the money to buy a toaster. When you have to roll coins so your kid has shoes for school, a toaster is a luxury item. So for you to sit on your yacht and sip Cristal, and laugh at Joe Biden for saying he wants to help the middle class "stay in their homes,... buy food,... fill up their tank, ... be able to go out and buy a toaster," you reveal nothing but your hatred for the very people you have been robbing blind.

At this stage you're lucky the American public doesn't have the stomach or the self-awareness required for operating guillotines. Count your blessings and go away. And shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!

Sorry. *clears throat* That's about as articulate as i am capable of being when i contemplate politics these days.

Ah, the blue-collar, Limbaugh-loving, mortgaged-to-the-hilt Republican faithful will just eat it up and beg for more.

In his autobiography, Frank Zappa ahd a few rants about popular culture and American taste. One was along the lines of: "That's really stupid." "I know! Isn't it wonderful?"

It continues what i said earlier about the Republicans running a dada campaign. This is just another example of it. Actually i should take that back, dada had some thinking behind it.

They're ridiculing him for pointing out that for many families a toaster is a luxury item. They could've trotted out their tired old trickle-down stuff in response, but they didn't even bother with that, didn't even bother with an intelligent response. They're not even acting like a political party anymore, just a gang of thugs. Their discourse is just, "get a load of that, 'a toaster in every home,' hahaha." They're bullies sitting on the porch making fun of nerds as they walk by on their way home from school.

Seriously question: do Republicans actually drink Cristal? I thought that was the drink of hip hoppers who have arrived in the world.

They don't drink the stuff, they just pour out bottles of it for the cameras while filming videos.

Heck, i don't know what Republicans actually drink. It could be the blood of child sweatshop laborers, for all i know.

I'd be tempted to go with this one...

On the other hand, do you really believe Biden? The dems do not care about folks who can't afford a toaster. They care about middle class people who own their own homes and go on vacations where they stay in nice hotels, not the poor.

Neither Obama nor Biden give a shit about the lower middle class or poor. Oh, the pretend they do. But they care about those in the upper 50% income bracket.

That's better than the repubs who only care about the upper 10%, but neither party gives a shit about the poor and the struggling lower middle class.

Sure, the repubs are wretched excuses for human beings. But the dems are too. Two parties run by the super rich. Neither party is against imperialist wars. Neither party really wants to address eco-destruction which has been going on for many many centuries. Neither party wants to pull the US back from the brink of total disaster. All they want to do is make more money by exploiting those with less power and wealth than them.

Oh, i am not under any illusions regarding the Democrats, don't get me wrong. I'm just reacting to the sheer contempt and loathing that drips out of the Republican party.

Hey, i found online a video of the press conference held last week by Ron Paul, Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader, and the Constitution Party guy here:

Good stuff.

The rethugs themselves recommended a toaster as something to purchase with the stupid %$@%*& $600 tax rebate.

Yeah, but they probably intend for poor folks to use it for heat!

I thought that McCain opposed the Bush tax cuts back in '01.

But now it seems like he is proposing more of the same, so I don't get it.

Come to think of it, it reminds me of Cheney saying, when H.W. was President, that he was right not to invade Baghdad since you have to ask how many dead Americans Saddam Hussein was worth. But then he changed his mind for whatever reason and didn't try to stop W from invading Iraq.
