I disagree. I call for executions all the time. Right wing bastards never are forced to pay for their crimes. Until that stops, we will see more and more of it. I do, however, feel the executions should be done after a fair trail & carried out by the government, rather than by a mob.

Ah, but you call for the execution of people who are in power and exercising control. The rightist bloggers just want a wholesale slaughter of anyone who doesn't think like them. For example, I've never heard you suggest that all the Christians who descend on Jackson Square each Mardi Gras should be mowed down in a hail of bullets, but it's perfectly acceptable for right-wing pundits to say that gays, Muslims, etc. should meet that fate merely for who the are or what they believe.

I would, however, like to see the Christians on Jackson Square forced to take a course in what the bible really sez.

"Stephen Prothero, chairman of the religion department at Boston University and author of "Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know -- and Doesn't" has a solution: Teach people in public schools what the Bible actually says. Lectures would be academic, not religious in nature."

Well, there's exceptions to every generalization. ;-p

By and large, though, the overall pattern is clear and distinct.

we can only hope they get louder and more hateful... this is the only way the more moderate conservatives will see what monsters thier peers have become.

Yeah, I have issues with the terms "conservative" and "liberal" and the way they are used. Not spending money we don't have, aiming for zero population growth, and farming organically and generally trying to do things in harmony with nature seem like conservative positions to me since they all involve being cautious and avoiding risks. None of those things seem to be generally characterized as conservative positions in U.S. politics, though.

Of all the things to discuss in that post...
