So, Mitt Romney is running for president. I have few words to express how bitterly and visceraly i hate this man. In the last year alone, he twice went out of his way to block funding for GLBT domestic violence programs (despite the demonstrated need of GLBT people for assistance in escaping from sometimes life-threatening situations) and did his utmost to kill the Commission for LGBT Youth (despite the very high prevalence of suicide and depression among young queer people). He has tried repeatedly to kill people like me when they are at their most vulnerable, and i can't forgive him for that.

He's also the champion of 6-week-old embryos, having recanted his previous pro-life position to make himself more appealing to the fundies. Blech.

I don't have a problem with politicians changing their opinions on things -- but in the case of so many of Romney's actions over the last four years it is painfully obvious that his primary motivation is to pimp himself out to the reactionary Christians who vote in Republican primaries, by giving them the decisions he thinks they want. And in playing to the Jesusland base outside Massachusetts he never cared which of his own citizens were harmed or died in the process.
