I've never lived anywhere other than New Orleans. But after visiting Atlanta (and the surrounding towns) this weekend, I'm strongly considering moving there. I've also thought about Houston and Dallas.

Never lived in Houston or Atlanta, but visited Dallas a lot. It's okay. I wouldn't take it over New Orleans, personally.

The problem with New Orleans (and the entire state of Louisiana in general) is the crappy job market. A lot of people I know have moved or ar planning to move out of state. I want to stay in the south because I can't deal with a much colder climate. But Louisiana just isn't promising. Neither are Mississippi or Alabama.

Of course if I move, I'd come back to visit a lot. :)
