(no subject)

Scripture of all sort has become an unhealthy fixation for me. Therefore I hereby swear that I am going to avoid reading or examining any form of scripture for one week.

Next Friday, if it seems good or necessary, I will extend this abstainence even longer.

In the meantime, I'm going to take Bucky Fuller's advice and dare to be naive.

The problem isn't believing scripture. Or, rather, to be more clear, not believing scripture isn't a problem for me. Wait, let me try again. I do just fine at not believing scripture. I can do that with one hand tied behind my back.

The problem is reading it, fixating on it, examining it. I desperately need to take a break from that.
