davidould regards the recent appointment of Dr. Jeffrey John, a homosexual, as the Dean of St. Albans Cathedral, a prestigious appointment in the Anglican Church, after declining consideration for election as Bishop.
This issue is somewhat different from the case of Bishop Robinson in several notable ways -- one of them being that Dr. John, while in a gay relationship, is celibate. Secondly, much of the mainstream press is reporting that his appointment is not a matter of serious controversy, and has already been approved by the Queen.
