Have not entirely completed the purchase of the hooptie, as the title cannot be found. So James' father will apply for a replacement from Baton Rouge. Or I will, if that duty falls to me. The car is at least street legal and meets basic requirements, though the steering is very sensitive at highway speeds.
While we keep our eyes open for a cheap place in town, we will also begin looking at places in ::shudder:: Chalmette. Rent seems to be very cheap out that ways, probably because of the proximity of industrial plants processing highly explosive and/or toxic chemicals.
I have an extended weekend, but lack of funds puts restrictions on the amount or types of hedonistic activities in which I will engage. Likely I'll spend a good part of the weekend preparing for the move and/or working on the never-ending (that is, perennial) book project (pun intended). (That's a pun because the book is about the perennial mystical teaching. Darn it, sometimes I let my geekiness show through too much. At least geeks can be sexy nowadays. Another thing we can thank Generation X for.)
