The power elite debates whether the government has the right to control what consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedrooms. Is this really a matter of morality? Or is it more about the level of control the state can have over the individual?

It is all about control. Morality is just a buzzword. Some of the people may believe that it is ultimately about morality but they have just swallowed the party line for so long that it is spewing out of both ends.

Sex is about as intimate as it gets. The large amount of psychoanalytical theory centered around sex did not come about just because psychologists are such perverts. Dictating what a person can do with his/her own body, especially in a an area that has such deeply profound of psychological ramifications, automatically lends itself to being more able to easily control all other areas of a person's life. Getting a person to believe that he/she has absolutely no control over any aspect of his/her sexuality (and I am NOT talking about in the consensual game play where no matter how intense it gets, underneath it all is the knowledge that it is CONSENSUAL) gives the entity in control of that person's sexuality near total of every other aspect of that persons life. Because if you can't dictate what happens to the core of your body and soul, then how the hell are you going to have say about anything else? That is why rape is such an effective torture device for breaking someone. That is why people who were molested as children grow up to have so many control issues.

Anyone who does not believe that is a matter of control is either (a) delusional (b )idiotic (c) brainwashed (d) ignorant or (e) all of the above

I was typing a reply, but I realized my thoughts deserved their own journal entry:
