Oh gosh, you had quite a time of it. I suppose power outages aren't life threatening for most people, but it's still awfully uncomfortable and to some degree boring, and it's possible to lose a lot of food. I hope things are starting to feel more normal again.
I found, when we had a longish power outage (only about 8 hours) a couple years ago that my LED book light was the best emergency light I owned. It's still on its first batteries even since using it during the outage, and provides a nice bright, flameless light that you can read by. I've thought of buying more just to have for emergency lights. With all the cats in the house I'm scared to use candles.
