sophiaserpentia1.5 million people were evacuated in China to get them away from Typhoon Saomai, a category 5 hurricane which made landfall on August 10. So far the confirmed death toll is 255; over 400 are dead or missing. This is the eighth typhoon to hit China so far this season.
