Very little. But that just fits into what I said about American Christianity being in shambles. Faith motivated by fear is not much faith at all. A little fear might be a help with motivation, but only within a larger context of love of God, if faith is not built on a love of God, it is not much faith at all.
I don't know how to get through to them, so if they can't be reached by appealing to their sense of compassion, i'll settle for encouraging them to fear the law.
When it comes to freedom of thought and speech, that's just not a compromise I'm comfortable with.
