Mass media has created a mythology out of current events that is as "unrealistic" as the ancient mythologies "modern" people sneer at as "superstitious" and "ignorant". The Lyndie England story is mythology, a morality tale. But what is the moral here?
Questions I am not supposed to ask: Why was Lyndie England's face portrayed all over the news to the exclusion of any other upright young American soldier/torturer? Why did no one ask "Who held the camera?"
