Which also explains why the current militaristic regime, and its supporters, are also so homophobic and sex-negative in general. Reminds me of a short story I once read. In a not too distant future, when this country was on the brink of an un-necessary war, the peace movement realized that the solution to peace was piece, and used sexual freedom to reduce the will of the army to fight. I wish I could remember the author or title.
