It is unusual to have thunderstorms in New Orleans. Mostly we just get rain, sometimes lots of it. This thunderstorm brought with it a large upward change in temperature, though; and so the clash of hot and cold air led to lightning and even for a while sleet. The rain was bad enough that people parked on the neutral ground last night. Thunder here is remarkable because it just rolls and rolls on, much longer than it seems to do anywhere else I've ever been.

I don't have internet at home any more, and it might be quite a while before that changes, and some new pressing projects have come to me at work; so I might be a bit scarce on LJ for a while.

Last night I finally started work on a fiction project I've wanted to work on for a long time. I've always been shy and secretive about works in progress, a habit I've had since childhood, so don't be offended if I choose not to describe it here in any way.

Edit. Oh, what the heck. I'll mention that the new project is a fictional account of what Jesus' life may have been like if my ideas are correct. Whether it will ever be finished, published, etc., remains to be seen.
