I am not familiar with the Eastern Orthodox perspective on Sophia.
My theory is that these parallels are echoes within mainstream Christianity of the Gnostic influence -- that is, they came from Gnosticism, and forever changed Christianity. I say this largely because the allegory of the bedchamber within Christianity is not very fleshed out, whereas in Gnosticism it is much more richly developed and has a stronger history. It *could* be that the Gnostics took a vague Christian idea and ran with it, but I don't think so, in light of the Jewish take on this analogue (cf. The Song of Solomon, the Wisdom of Solomon, Hosea, etc.).
