The problem with New Orleans (and the entire state of Louisiana in general) is the crappy job market. A lot of people I know have moved or ar planning to move out of state. I want to stay in the south because I can't deal with a much colder climate. But Louisiana just isn't promising. Neither are Mississippi or Alabama.
Of course if I move, I'd come back to visit a lot. :)
