Yesterday I did some interesting reading. I determined that the two bibles I wanted were the Good News Bible and the New Jerusalem Bible. I was able to get a GNB, hardcover, illustrated, for CANADIAN $4.00, could not find a New Jerusalem. But I did find a paperback Psalms, from the Jerusalem Bible, a beautiful and poetic translation indeed, for only CAN $2.00.
Today I got two pristine paperbacks for CAN $4.00: THE NAKED APE, by Desmond Morris, and THE POWER OF MYTH, by Joseph Campbell. Books are cheap here.
