I'm a little torn though as to whether or not to think of what I have so far as a trial run, because I'm not happy with the quality of microphone sound I'm getting. Every once in a while certain vocal tones are resonating within the microphone, and this is something I can't really compensate for (like I can with pops & clicks). Yes, I have a really cheap mike, but I was planning to upgrade eventually, not right at the start -- because, who knows if it will catch on, or if I will even be able to keep producing it. There seemed little point in spending good money on a mike if I wasn't even sure I would actually use it.
I think I *will* keep what I have and distribute it once I get everything else set up, which is just waiting for a little bit of spare money to buy a domain and hosting space that can handle streams and downloads. (Anyone know of such that is both decent & cheap?) I also wouldn't mind a volunteer or two who's willing to listen to a few minutes of it on their iPod and tell me whether they find the sound quality & production value acceptable.
