Holy crap it's even colder. The hooptie doesn't have any heating and the commute to work is 20 minutes. I may have to take a blanket with me on Monday if it is still cold like this.

Edit with update. Didn't want to make a separate post to add an update of recent developments.

Tim is working at the A&P in the French Quarter now. Not sure what he'll be doing for them, but they are less likely to fire him for the capricious reasons used by Commander's Palace.

Dee is interviewing with some "social justice" agency today, called the Working Family Association. Not sure what that's about either, but we will hopefully find out.

Supposed to be warmer tomorrow.

Just read this on a post in the gnosticism2 yahoogroup. It is unsigned.

"Incidently, I am now reading Joseph Dan's book and he gave a good explanation on how did Gnostics came up with the term for demiurge *Yaldabaoth* According to Dan 'gnostics' might came up with the name from Hebrew "Yah Elohim Adonai Tzevaoth" (YA eLohim aDonai tzeVAOTH) a chant used by Hehalot mystics to describe the power of the devine pleroma. Dan further states that, "If this suggestion is correct, several conclusion may be drawn. It would indicate some familiaity of ancient gnostic sources with _Hechalot_ mystericism, but on a very superficial level. The connection between Yaldabaoth and the pleromatic formula of the Jewish mysterics could not be accepted as the proof that the gnostic sources were familiar with the mystical texts of _Hechalot _ literature; it proves only that they heard the frequently recited "refrain" that these mystics added to the lists of the powers of the pleroma. We cannot even be certain that the gnostics knew any Hebrew, in the same way that the use of the names Sabaoth or Adonaios in gnostic texts does not imply any knowledge of Hebrew." (_Jewish Mysticism_ vol: 1 1998 Joseph Dan Jason Aronson Inc, Northvale, New Jersey ISBN 0-7657-6007-X)"

Apparently the LJ Meetup in New Orleans is five or six blocks from my house, this tuesday.

Might be fun. I've confirmed to go.

Posted by me just now on Beliefnet.

It actually gladdens me to imagine that even souls as damaged as Hitler's could be healed and reconciled back into the Fullness of God. The reconciliation of course would involve the healing of all the souls that he directly or indirectly damaged.

All of us have in some way been hurt by others, and all of us have in some way contributed to the hurt of others as well. Part of our job as living spirits is to untangle all the frayed ends of our lives and of those around us.

To put it another way: I can't imagine being happy in heaven knowing that anyone was left behind.

Here on earth, peace activists have a saying: no one is truly free unless all of us are free. It's true in spirit too.
