I laughed out loud, but my god, these people are serious!

ineffabelle commented on my post the other day to say that the pre-pregnant thing sounded 'cartoonishly fascistic.' I have to say, this tops it. It is as duplicitous and Orwellian as anything i can possibly imagine.

The only consolation i have is that maybe this is the last gasp of greed before people start thinking and acting sensibly about global warming.

And dihydrogen monoxide inhalation is indeed responsible for thousands of deaths every year.

But, yes, that's exactly the thing here. This is so freakin' cartoonish in its lack of context. Besides, i think a legitimate case can be made that they're actually lying. No one is suggesting we label carbon dioxide a pollutant, but that we restrict CO2 emissions. BIG difference, and considering that the TV stations wouldn't run the UCC's ads last year because they were "controversial," i think we need to take any TV station to task if they play this ad.
