ineffabelle commented on my post the other day to say that the pre-pregnant thing sounded 'cartoonishly fascistic.' I have to say, this tops it. It is as duplicitous and Orwellian as anything i can possibly imagine.

The only consolation i have is that maybe this is the last gasp of greed before people start thinking and acting sensibly about global warming.

5 or 6 years ago, I saw I NOVA special on global warming that mentioned an industry sponsored campaign called "the Greening of Planet Earth" that pushed the idea that more CO₂ would lead to better crop yields, summer vacation spots increasing in tourism, and lower home heating costs. The shear gaul of these people is astounding.
