not feeling the lj love

Still not able to see my friend's page in the morning. I'm getting tired of this, it's been going on all week. I remember when having a paid account meant your journal was placed on a better server. No more; now it just means you don't have to see ads.

If this keeps up i may start doing my primary journaling over on wordpress or transadvocate and simply use this journal to mirror my posts. Is there a utility that will capture all of a journal's entries and repost them on some other bloghost?

I think [livejournal.com profile] worldmegan uses Wordpress to do something like that, but I don't know the details.

Grrr... Bad LJ! Have you complained to the powers-that-be in LJ-Land?

Twice. I was told earlier in the week that it's a known issue. So we'll see.

How frustrating!! Have you contacted them about this? You are the only one on my list having this problem...seems like you should get some extra time on your account for the trouble or something!!!

I've written up two tickets about it in the last week. On Mon or Tues i was told it was a known issue. It seems to be behaving now. We'll see tomorrow morning, i guess.

Towards the beginning of last month, LiveJournal experienced a large Russia-based DDOS attack. I wonder if the same sort of thing is happening again.

Can such a DDOS attack be directed at the particular cluster where my journal is housed but not at other clusters?

I don't know if that is possible. However I do know that some users experienced significantly more problems than others during the last one — which lead to a number of conspiracy theories regarding its proximity to strikethrough.
