I took note that, when I clicked on the article, the advertisement in the sidebar was for a product to deal with cellulite. QED, I think.

Indeed. Those beauty product ads with the "simulated result" photos come up frequently on Yahoo pages. And the experienced eye can easily tell that all they did was Photoshop the pictures.
