Why have i not written a substantive post in almost a week? All will be clear soon, oh yes, my friends.

PS. Can anyone recommend a decent shareware/freeware bare-bones HTML editor? Other than Notepad. I was at one time happy with AOLPress 2.0, though i have not tried this with Windows XP.

I use emacs, but then again, I'm strange.

TextPad - basic text editor with HTML enchancments. In HTML mode it will show tags & links in different colors, etc. and can also add pairs of tags (for tables, etc.) with a mouseclick.
Nagware at bootup until you pay the $30 shareware fee, but I had no problem paying it. I built my pr0n site empire with it. :)

It's not anything like a WYSIWYG editor - you're still 95% hand-coding, but this helps you see what you're doing, at least.

Here is an odd suggestion. Use Semagic, then cut & paste from the HTML view to wherever you want it.

Sun Microsystems (http://www.sun.com) makes Open Office, which contains a bona fide html editor.

No, I still use Wordpad.

No. Good place to search would be versiontracker.com. Have descriptions and user ratings.
