Marching down Rampart Street.

Rally in front of Charity Hospital, to protest proposed drastic budget cuts for subsidized health care for the poor. The old lady in the pink shirt in the middle is the woman who walked across the US four years ago to draw attention to campaign finance reform. She is now 94.

Marching through the Iberville housing project. One aim of the march was to connect the war costs with cuts in health care and housing for the poor.

Closing rally in Lehman park. The Mo'Lasses Marching Band, shown here, joined the march in front of Charity Hospital and convered the march into a "second line" with jazz accompaniment.
