My shopping trip last night officially marked my rededication to low carb.

I'm craving sugar now pretty heavily. Sugar! I must be strong and persevere. The downside to low-carb eating is that cheating is an absolute no-no, especially in the early days. It throws everything off for hours, if not the whole day.

If it is your will, read my post about the Trinity here in [livejournal.com profile] challenging_god and here in [livejournal.com profile] convert_me.

I've been walking the line with going back to doing that, too. My friend, Miss Robin, has already gotten back on the wagon and is currently sugar detoxing.

The first time I ever did it, I had a horrible time getting away from the sugar. And then after it was all completely gone from my system, I discovered the existence of sugar free candy and chocolate. This time go round should be a lot easier on me. ^_^

Yes, my experience matches this. I remember being almost "high" the first few days away from sugar. After that I felt more highly energized than I had in a long time.

This time around I have a better idea of what to expect. Although I forgot just how much of the food in the supermarket, in stores, and in restaurants, just happens to be exactly the kind of carbohydrate food that has to be avoided.
