Read this interview with Kurt Vonnegut. Funny, I was just thinking about him yesterday, and then [livejournal.com profile] alobar posts this interview. Hmm.

Anyway, Vonnegut's table scraps are more eloquent than my polished essays! I am not worthy to lick his shoes.

Actually, many of the things I do quite willingly in a submissive context are not things I particularly enjoy, but I really do enjoy pleasing someone, enough to endure things I generally wouldn't seek in other contexts (like pain).

the scariest thing with regards to uncle kurt is how some of his most ridiculous short stories are turning out to be very very apt in terms of predicting the future (aka our present day). have you read his scabrous "the big space fuck"? if not, you'll find it in one of his books of essays as part of a section about censorship, if i'm not mistaken, though i can't remember which book precisely at the moment. that story never fails to make me chuckle...and weep.
