Sometimes when a person has been hurt enough they just want it to stop.

I understand that, and I mourn for a world in which that is the case.

Then what do you suggest.

That we actually enforce our laws rather than make new additional laws that infringe on the freedoms of thought and speech. If legal justice isn't just, then I suggest we make it just. If the victims of violence aren't getting justice because of who they are, then we reform the justice system. If we have the power to pass new legislation, then we have at least some power to make the existing legislation do what it is supposed to do. It is criminal for officers of the law to not enforce the law because of personal prejudices.

I suggest that we seek true justice rather than just another injustice that levels the playing field.
