But, yeah, I agree that there have been some abuses and that annoys me. I was annoyed for example about the city budget planner who was forced out of his job for using the word "niggardly," which in meaning and etymology has nothing to do with racial slurring but sounds very much like one. I'm not a fan of that way in which PC has come to be used and think it is a serious detriment.
