Regarding the "pigfucker" comment: it gave me no joy to see it. I have been learning, though, how to listen to anger without jumping to mollify or quiet it. Sometimes anger just needs to be heard, and this anger specifically was clearly triggered by reading the post in question.
Is it right that she should imply that Christians opposed to homosexuality are liable for the other poster's self-loathing? That is a complex question, which my post "oppression of vs. oppression by" was in part meant to explore. I wanted therein also to explore ways in which you and I could both be accurately describing the thoughts and emotions we have from our sides of this debate, and yet find our expressions in contradiction.
In short, I've been seeking the third option, that chimera of debate that seeks an answer orthogonal to both sides of a debate.
