The cosmological argument is the strongest argument in my opinion. It has scientific evidence to corroborate its claims. You can't get much better evidence than scientific evidence.
Hahahahaha, well I suppose that is a pretty good reason to question it because if it's actually true, that would make Genesis have some sort of element of truth to it. hahahahaha.
Absolutely. This entire perceivable universe and "consciousness" could be some complex video game being played on a computer by a disturbed cosmic adolescent, with us as the primitive AI characters. One hour of "real time" in the kid's universe could well be millions in ours. When mom calls hir to the dinner table, the whole thing just goes "poof" (or maybe sie saves the game, so our universe does disappear from manifestation, only to be restored anew at some future period).
After all the "Matrix" hoo-hah, I still think "The Truman Show" is the best gnostic metaphor out there. ;)
Yes, too bad there isn't a SimCosmos game out there.
I agree that the Truman Show is a more accurate representation of the spirit of Gnosticism, though I laid out in several entries the complex ways in which the plot of the Matrix trilogy was clearly drawn directly from Gnostic mythology.
IMO the most accurate movie depicting the spirit of Gnosticism is Pleasantville.
