In other news, I am being treated for carpal tunnel syndrome. I went to the doctor before it got really bad -- and so far it is not affecting my ability to function in major ways -- but it is an annoyance nonetheless.

I have decided to resume working on my book, too. Well, maybe decided is not the right word -- I am being called back to it. I set it aside when I realized I wasn't sure of what I was trying to say. Now I have a clearer idea of where I want to go with things. The only fear I have is whether or not anyone will be interested in reading Loony IdeasTM from someone who doesn't have a PhD.

Actually I'm not terribly worried about that. I am primarily writing for me, to collect my thoughts in one place, and if any of it is worthwhile, I sense that readers will find it somehow.

Unfortunately, writing is not the best therapy for carpal tunnel. However, having seen what people have gone through when this gets really bad, I am determined not to let it get to that point.

The book is about my "take" on the message of Gnostic Christianity and how this gels with the New Testament and the Jewish "Wisdom" movement, with chapters planned on parallels to the Tao Te Ching, the Buddhist teachings, maybe a few other mystical traditions...

You need a SECRETARY to type while you pace from wall to wall, creating!

You can throw tantrums when you do that. And can slide your hand across the desk, pushing everything onto the floor in one dramatic swing, when s/he does not keep up with you.

"How can I be expected to CREATE under these conditions?"

I like the way you think.
