You know, I'm not sure if I am wise to any degree or not.

Any wisdom that I might have hasn't kept me from being really dumb on occasion. It has, however, helped me to recognize the fact of my stupidity much quicker than I used to.

I don't mind so much making my own mistakes once. But sometimes it feels like I keep repeating variations on the same idiotic themes over and over.

Oh! I full well relate to your frustration. I do not mean to imply I am beyond it in any way shape or form.
