do you have the time to explain giving love freely as opposed to being wholly compassionate?

Compassion is different from love. Compassion means recognizing the familiarity of spirit of people around you. "Love" means this, plus attempting to jump across the space that divides two people, seeking a sort of unity.


i really believe that the journey is inevitable, it is just how we choose to pepper with jumps and skips that maintain our sense of invidual self.

That's an interesting metaphor. I think that really at the core we are all very similar in many ways, but the differences between people are what is "salient," are what catches our attention, which makes it easy to forget really how similar and connected we are.
