Thanks! The eternity symbol is slightly modified so that it is an ouroboros -- the snake biting its own tail. This is an ancient symbol of infinity.

I think seraphimsigrist posted something recently about Jesus rising on the eighth day, the day after the sabbath, when he rested (in the grave). Is that what you're refering to by "8th day"?
